Bryan Reedy

Bryan Reedy (b. 1977, Arizona, US) is a visual artist living and working in London.

Reedy works across media, producing paintings, sculptural works, and digital ephemera with bold, abstract forms. His work is largely influenced by his self-described geography of memory: a personal signifigance of place amplified by a temporal disconnect, stemming from the geographical distance between his childhood spent in South Africa and later adolescent years on the American West Coast and New York City. This lack of continuity created transisient, strange landscapes of dreams for Reedy, which he visually and conceptually incorporates alongside a personal engagement with broader expressions of his identity and of place.

Reedy studied architecture at the Cooper Union College and received his BFA from Hunter College in New York (2016). He moved to London to study at the the Slade School of Fine Art (MFA Painting 2018), and has been based in the city ever since.

Solo exhibitions include Under a Darkening Sky, Art Rooms, London UK (2020) and Fuse of Air, This Body, Unit 1 Gallery/Workshop, London UK (2018).
